Brief Bio
Councilor Benton is self-employed and owner of Benton Limousine, ABC Bonding, Benton Realty and Rose-Rich Realty. Councilor Benton has an Associate’s Degree from Wharton County Junior College and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston. He is active in the Rosenberg Lions Club, Hispanics Offering People Education (HOPE), and the Rosenberg Image Committee, along with numerous other community groups. Prior to his election, Councilor Benton served as Chairman of the City’s Sign Review Task Force.
Councilor Benton serves on the City's Finance/Audit Committee, the City's Professional Service/Engineering Project Review Committee, and as City Council ex-officio representative to the City of Rosenberg Image Committee.

Councilor Benton is owner of several small businesses and an active member in several community organizations. His passion is serving people.
He's a fiscal conservative in favor of lower taxes and responsible expending. He has been the voice of opposition for the unpopular project of the one-way pairing of Avenue H and I.
As Councilor he has changed the way candidates campaign and do business in city government. His personal one-on-one approach, responding to every call and email and advocating for the citizens has earned him the respect of the vast majority of citizens. He can be polarizing with some but his dedication and resolve is unquestionable. Councilor Benton should be re-elected with an outstanding majority.
